The Bengals just checked a massive item off the 2020 to-do list — extending star running back Joe Mixon.
After vague tweets and a mysterious absence from training camp practices, Mixon went live on Twitter with a photo of him with the Blackburns, essentially confirming an extension.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter confirmed it’s a four-year extension. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the extension money checks in at $48 million.
Mixon really broke out as a sophomore in 2018 when giving a bigger role, rushing for 1,168 yards and eight scores on a 4.9 average. He followed up last season with 1,137, five and 4.1

After a reported visit to Paul Brown Stadium on Sunday afternoon, Daniels’ deal went official Tuesday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Daniels, a fourth-round pick in 2012, spent seven years with the Packers before spending last season with the Lions, registering a PFF grade of 70.1 over nine games.
Cincinnati recently suffered multiple setbacks on the defensive interior with the loss of Josh Tupou and Ryan Glasgow. Daniels is the sort of veteran presence the team wanted to ease some pressure off Renell Wren

The Bengals and Joe Burrow have agreed to his rookie contract in principle.Technicalities remain the holdup. According to Tyler Dragon of the Cincinnati Enquirer, the plan is for Burrow to actually ink the deal this Thursday.Burrow was eligible to report to Paul Brown Stadium last Tuesday but like veterans reporting this Tuesday, he was required to undergo multiple coronavirus tests.Per Dragon and others, Burrow will get 100 percent of his signing bonus within 15 days of putting ink to paper. Meaning, he’ll get roughly $23.88 of a $36.1 million contract right away.Otherwise, it’s standard fare as far as contracts go. Burrow will have the fifth-year option
