Bears final injury report: Deon Bush ruled out, Darnell Mooney questionable vs. Bucs

The Chicago Bears released their final injury report ahead of their Thursday Night Football contest against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Chicago Bears released their final injury report ahead of their Thursday Night Football contest against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Safety Deon Bush, who suffered a hamstring injury last Sunday, has been ruled out for Thursday’s game. Meanwhile, safety and special teams ace Sherrick McManis has been ruled doubtful against the Bucs. That leaves the Bears down two reserve safeties for this game.

One of the shocking names on the injury report is rookie receiver Darnell Mooney, who has been declared questionable for Thursday’s game with a shoulder injury. Mooney was listed as a full participant in Wednesday’s walkthrough practice.

For the first time this season, outside linebacker Khalil Mack was a full participant in practice. He had been limited in every practice so far this season and ruled questionable in the first four games. This is the first week where he’s full-go, and on a short week, no less.

The Bears and Bucs kick things off at 7:20 p.m. CT on FOX, NFL Network and Amazon Prime.

Bears injury report: Deon Bush, Sherrick McManis DNP, Khalil Mack limited Tuesday

The Bears released their Tuesday injury report ahead of Thursday’s primetime game against the Buccaneers, and it was more of the same.

The Chicago Bears released their second injury report for the week ahead of Thursday’s primetime contest against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and there was nothing surprising on the Bears front.

Following a walkthrough on Monday, where injury designations were estimates, Tuesday reflected more of the same. Safeties Deon Bush and Sherrick McManis did not practice with hamstring injuries.

McManis suffered a hamstring injury in Week 3 against the Atlanta Falcons while Bush suffered a similar injury last Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts, which leaves their two reserve safeties’ statuses for Thursday up-in-the-air.

For the fifth straight week, outside linebacker Khalil Mack remains limited in practice with a knee injury. It’ll likely be the same on Wednesday with his game designation likely questionable for Thursday, although there’s a 99.9% chance he’ll be good to go against Tampa Bay.

The Bears will hold one more practice on Wednesday, along with game designations, ahead of Thursday’s primetime contest against the Bucs.

Bears injury report: Deon Bush, Sherrick McManis DNP during Monday’s walkthrough

The Chicago Bears released their first injury report of the week ahead of Thursday’s primetime game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Chicago Bears released their first injury report of the week ahead of Thursday’s primetime game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Bears held a walkthrough Monday. But if they had practiced, outside linebacker Khalil Mack would have been limited and safeties Deon Bush and Sherrick McManis wouldn’t have practiced.

McManis suffered a hamstring injury during Week 3’s game against the Atlanta Falcons and did not participate in practice last week and was inactive in Week 4. Bush suffered a hamstring injury during Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Mack has been limited throughout the first four weeks of practice and questionable for each of those games. He’s been active in every game this season.

Week 4 Inactives: Bears S Sherrick McManis, QB Tyler Bray inactive vs. Colts

The Chicago Bears released their inactives for their Week 4 contest against the Indianapolis Colts, where there aren’t many surprises.

The Chicago Bears released their inactives for their Week 4 contest against the Indianapolis Colts, where there aren’t many surprises.

Defensive back and special teams ace Sherrick McManis won’t play after suffering a hamstring injury last Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons, which is a huge loss for Chicago’s special teams.

After some crazy speculation following quarterback Tyler Bray’s promotion to the active roster, the practice squad QB is officially inactive against the Colts, which makes the move all the more puzzling.

Also inactive for the Bears are running back Artavis Pierce, receiver Riley Ridley, offensive lineman Arlington Hambright and nose tackle Daniel McCullers.

As for the Colts, former Bears tight end Trey Burton is active. Burton was activated off injured reserve this week after suffering a calf injury during training camp.

The Bears and Colts kick things off at 3:25 p.m. CT.

Bears’ Khalil Mack, Josh Woods questionable, Sherrick McManis doubtful vs. Colts

The Bears released their game designations ahead of Sunday’s tilt against the Colts, and DB Sherrick McManis is doubtful.

The Chicago Bears released their final injury report ahead of Sunday’s Week 4 match-up against the Indianapolis Colts, where the Bears will look to remain undefeated through the first four weeks for the first time since their 2006 Super Bowl run.

And looking at the injury report, along with game designations, the Bears are looking a lot better than most teams heading into Week 4.

Defensive back and special teams ace Sherrick McManis is doubtful and outside linebacker Khalil Mack and linebacker Josh Woods are questionable for Sunday’s game against the Colts.

McManis suffered a hamstring injury in last Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons, and he looks to be the only Bear that won’t suit up in Week 4.

Mack has been questionable for the fourth straight week — as he was once again limited throughout the week — but there’s a 99.9% chance that Mack is ready to go against the Colts.

Woods suffered an ankle injury during Friday’s practice and is questionable for Sunday.

Bears injury report: Sherrick McManis did not practice again on Thursday

Not much has changed from Thursday’s injury report as the Bears prepare to face the Colts in Week 4.

The Chicago Bears released their second injury report of the week ahead of Sunday’s Week 4 match-up against the Indianapolis Colts, and not much has changed since yesterday.

Defensive back and special teams ace Sherrick McManis remains sidelined with a hamstring injury suffered during last Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons. It’s looking more likely that, aside from McManis, the Bears should be full speed against the Colts.

Outside linebacker Khalil Mack (knee) and safety Deon Bush (groin) remained limited in practice, but both will likely be good to go Sunday against the Colts.

Defensive tackle Akiem Hicks, linebacker Danny Trevathan, tight end Jimmy Graham, right tackle Bobby Massie and receiver Ted Ginn Jr. were all full participants Thursday following a scheduled veteran resting day on Wednesday.

Chicago Bears released their first injury report on Wednesday ahead of their Week 4 contest against the Colts.

The Chicago Bears released their first injury report on Wednesday ahead of their Week 4 contest against the Indianapolis Colts. And unlike last week, there are some injuries worth monitoring heading into Sunday.

Defensive back and special teams ace Sherrick McManis did not practice with a hamstring injury sustained during last Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons.

For the fourth straight week, outside linebacker Khalil Mack was limited with a knee injury. But he’s played all three games thus far, and he’s looked plenty healthy. Safety Deon Bush was a new addition to the injury report, as he was limited with a groin injury.

Defensive tackle Akiem Hicks, inside linebacker Danny Trevathan, tight end Jimmy Graham, right tackle Bobby Massie and receiver Ted Ginn Jr. all had veteran rest days for the Bears.

Running back David Montgomery (wrist), safety Tashaun Gipson (neck) and inside linebacker Josh Woods (ankle) were all listed on the injury report but were all full participants in Wednesday’s practice.

Bears OLB Khalil Mack, DE Mario Edwards Jr. questionable vs. Falcons

The Bears released their injury report ahead of Sunday’s game against the Falcons and Khalil Mack and Mario Edwards Jr. are questionable.

The Chicago Bears released their final injury report ahead of Sunday’s Week 3 contest against the Atlanta Falcons, and it’s certainly encouraging when compared to the Falcons.

Outside linebacker Khalil Mack and defensive end Mario Edwards Jr. are questionable for Sunday’s game.

Mack has been nursing a knee injury since the start of the season, where he’s been limited in practice throughout the start of the season. While Mack’s designation has been questionable, he’s played in both games and it should be the same against Atlanta.

While the Bears injury report is cluttered with names, nothing of significance has been noted. Receivers Allen Robinson (knee), Anthony Miller (calf) and Darnell Mooney (quad), as well as edge rusher Robert Quinn (ankle) and a number of others have practiced in full this week and don’t have a designation.

The Falcons are not as lucky. They have five players listed as questionable for Sunday, including star receiver Julio Jones, pass rushers Dante Fowler Jr. and Foye Oluokun and right tackle Kaleb McGary.

Bears injury report: Khalil Mack limited in Thursday’s practice

The Bears released their injury report for Thursday’s practice, and it was good news, which is something the Falcons can’t say right now.

The Chicago Bears released their injury report for Thursday’s practice, and it was good news, which is something their upcoming opponent the Atlanta Falcons can’t say right now.

While the Bears have a crowded injury report, which includes some minor injuries with receivers Allen Robinson, Anthony Miller and Darnell Mooney, as well as pass rusher Robert Quinn, those players and more practiced in full on Thursday.

Outside linebacker Khalil Mack was the only player that didn’t practice in full, as he was limited Thursday. Mack has been limited in every practice thus far this season, and he’s managed to start in both games this season.

The Falcons haven’t been as lucky on the injury front. A handful of players didn’t practice for the second straight day, including most notably receiver Julio Jones, who is nursing a hamstring injury.

We’ll see how tomorrow looks before the Falcons designate game statuses for the likes of some important players, including Jones.

Bears DT John Jenkins suffers ligament tear in thumb, Daniel McCullers signed to replace him

John Jenkins suffered a ligament tear in his thumb and the Bears signed NT Daniel McCullers to replace him.

It appears that the Chicago Bears didn’t escape without any significant injury after all following Sunday’s bloodbath of injuries in Week 2.

Defensive tackle John Jenkins suffered a ligament tear in his thumb against the New York Giants, which he was able to play through. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Jenkins is expected to miss several games and could be placed on injured reserve.

The Bears didn’t take long to find Jenkins’ replacement as they’ve signed defensive tackle Daniel McCullers off the Steelers practice squad, according to Draft Diamonds.

Jenkins was splitting reps with Bilal Nichols at nose tackle for the Bears against the Giants, and now McCullers figures to serve a similar role.

McCullers is a mammoth of a football player standing at 6’7” and 348 pounds. He’s appeared in 73 games, including three starts for the Steelers, where he’s totaled 41 total tackles, 4 tackles for loss, 9 QB hits and 2.5 sacks.
