2023 Prospects: Avery Stuart’s Recruiting Profile

Avery Stuart is deciding between Auburn, Florida State, and Kentucky.

Going into the 2022 football season, Auburn Wire will be looking at players that receive a scholarship offer from the Tigers.

Prior to national signing day, each profile will cover where the player is from, how recruiting websites rate them and what their role could be for Bryan Harsin.

Up next is four-star safety [autotag]Avery Stuart[/autotag]. Stuart included Auburn in his top three schools and is set to announce his commitment on July 6.

He is one of the best players in Alabama but Auburn may be hard-pressed to keep him in-state. Florida State is seen as the favorite for him but the Tigers have not given up yet.

Auburn among top three for four-star safety Avery Stuart

Auburn is looking to land its second commit of July.

[autotag]Avery Stuart[/autotag] is one of Auburn’s top safety targets and is just days away from announcing his commitment.

The four-star prospect plays for Alabama Christian Academy in Montgomery and trimmed his final list to three schools Saturday. He will be deciding between Auburn, Kentucky, and Florida State.

The Tigers are looking to keep the positive momentum from landing four-star running back Jeremiah Cobb on Friday, but all signs point to Stuart becoming a Seminole.

On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine gives the Seminoles have 87.9% chance to land him and 247Sports’ Crystal Ball has three predictions, all for the Seminoles.

Somes positive’s for Auburn is that Stuart has been on campus three times and they are by far the closest school to home for him. The Tigers will be looking to pull off the upset when he commits on Wednesday.

If they can pull that off Stuart, who measures in at 6-foot-2 and 174-pounds, would become Auburn’s highest-rated commit at No. 197 overall and the No. 12 safety in the 247Sports Composite ranking. He is also the No. 16 player in Alabama.

Michigan State football has landed in the top six of a four-star safety prospect that intends to commit in the next few weeks.

Four-star safety Avery Stuart of Montgomery, Ala. released his top six schools list on Sunday, which included Michigan State. The Spartans were joined by Auburn, Florida State, Arkansas, Miami (FL) and Kentucky.

Stuart is ranked as the No. 197 overall prospect and No. 12 safety in 247Sports’ composite rankings. He holds offers from 20 different schools, according to 247Sports.

Auburn makes top-8 list of in-state cornerback

A four-star cornerback has announced his commitment date and is keeping Auburn in mind.

Auburn is in the running to land an in-state cornerback that would add value to their 2023 recruiting class.

Avery Stuart, a four-star cornerback from Alabama Christian Academy in Montgomery, is closer to announcing his commitment after releasing his top-8 list on Sunday, which features Auburn.

Stuart has been on the Tigers’ radar since last August, as the Tigers became the third school to offer Stuart after Ole Miss and Penn State. Since being offered by Auburn, Stuart has received offers from 16 programs, including three SEC programs in Kentucky, Mississippi State, and Arkansas.

Stuart visited Auburn on January 29, which was unofficial. According to 247sports, Stuart has only taken two official visits, which have taken place over the month of June. The weekend of June 10, Stuart visited Kentucky. At the time of this post, Stuart had just wrapped up an official visit to Florida State.

While there are no sure predictions for Stuart, On3 gives Florida State a 31% chance to land Stuart. Stuart is set to announce his official commitment on July 6.

Stuart is rated as a four-star cornerback by both On3 and 247sports. He is the 22nd ranked corner in the nation, as well as the No. 22 ranked prospect in the state of Alabama.

2023 Alabama defensive back Avery Stuart earns Oklahoma offer

Avery Stuart, out of Alabama Christian Academy in Montgomery, Ala., earned an Oklahoma offer recently.

As Oklahoma looks to build its 2023 class heading into the spring and beyond, it’s time to start stacking defensive talent among that group. In its 2023 class, OU has commitments from four-star quarterback Jackson Arnold, four-star wide receiver Ashton Cozart, three-star offensive lineman Joshua Bates and athlete Erik McCarty.

Oklahoma extended an offer to class of 2023 four-star defensive back Avery Stuart on Feb. 14. Stuart is from Alabama Christian Academy in Montgomery, Ala. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound defensive back holds offers from 18 schools according to 247Sports.

That list includes SEC programs Arkansas, Auburn, Kentucky, Mississippi State, and Ole Miss. From the ACC, Stuart has earned offers from Florida State, Georgia Tech, Miami, and North Carolina State. Big Ten schools Michigan State, Nebraska, and Penn State have also offered Stuart. In addition to those schools, Stuart holds offers from Colorado, Eastern Kentucky, Memphis, Toledo, and UCF.

Out of the recruiting services, On3 ranks Stuart the highest. According to On3’s rankings, Stuart is the No. 132 player overall, the No. 15 cornerback, and the 13th-best prospect from the state of Alabama in the 2023 class. Rivals rates Stuart as the No. 178 player nationally, the No. 27 cornerback, and the No. 18 player from Alabama.

247Sports lists Stuart as a three-star safety. According to 247Sports, Stuart is the No. 29 safety in the 2023 class and the 19th-best player from Alabama. In the On3 consensus rankings, Stuart checks in as the No. 175 player nationally, the No. 20 corner, and the No. 15 player from Alabama. In the 247Sports composite rankings, Stuart is the No. 252 player overall, the No. 25 safety, and the 17th highest-rated recruit from Alabama.

With that type of size and the way that Stuart runs, it’s easy to see him playing at Oklahoma for coach Jay Valai at corner or coach Brandon Hall at safety. Stuart has played a lot of wide receiver in high school, too.
