Steelers RB Najee Harris has epic response to winning Angry Runs

Najee Harris gives the credit for his big game to the guys who block for him.

A running back is only as good as his offensive line (for the most part, anyway). The resurgence of the Pittsburgh Steelers run game has been a combination of excellent offensive line play paired up with the hard-running Steelers running backs Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren.

Last week, Harris and Warren were Kyle Brandt’s two finalists for his Andry Runs award with Harris edging Warren out thanks to his huge production and nasty stiff arm against the Seattle Seahawks.

To make it even sweeter, when Harris got word from Brandt that he won, he gave all the credit to his offensive line and tight ends who block so well for him..

The Steelers offensive line has seen steady improvement since rookie offensive tackle Broderick Jones was plugged into the starting lineup.

Good Morning Football names Commanders RB Brian Robinson as Week 12’s top rookie

Somehow, Robinson was robbed of winning “Angry Runs” for Week 12.

Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. had a career game in Sunday’s 19-13 win over the Atlanta Falcons.

The rookie from Alabama rushed for a career-high 105 yards and also caught a 14-yard touchdown pass. Not only did Robinson churn out tough yards against Atlanta in the rain, but he also produced plenty of highlights.

His touchdown reception was a thing of pure beauty as he ran through the Falcons. He followed that up with a second-half run where he showed off his quickness and vision before flashing his power by running through another Falcon for a first down.

Somehow, Robinson didn’t win Good Morning Football’s “Angry Runs” award for Week 12. Instead, somehow, Kyle Brandt chose former Washington running back Samaje Perine.

Really? Come on, Kyle.

But Robinson did receive love on Tuesday’s edition of Good Morning Football on the NFL Network. Brandt’s co-host, Peter Schrager, named his “Fabulous Five” NFL rookies for Week 12.

Guess who came in at No. 1? Brian Robinson Jr.

Well deserved for Robinson.

He still should’ve won the scepter for “Angry Runs,” as he had more than one “angry run” during the game.

Robinson continues to round into form after missing the first four games of his rookie season. Robinson is one of the NFL’s best stories this season.

Washington Commanders rookie running back Brian Robinson Jr. had the best performance of his young NFL career in Sunday’s 19-13 win over the Atlanta Falcons.

Robinson scored the game’s first touchdown when he ran over an Atlanta defender en route to a 14-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Taylor Heinicke. Later in the second half, Robinson proved he wasn’t done dishing out punishment to the Falcons. The Alabama rookie bowled over another Atlanta defender on a 10-yard run.

Overall, Robinson carried the ball 18 times for 105 yards and also caught two passes for 20 yards and a touchdown.

After the game, Robinson was in a celebratory mood, showing off the biggest Washington Commanders’ hat you’re ever going to see.

Check it out.

Robinson said his friend owns a big hat company and he can hook anyone up that wants one. I am going to guess his friend’s business is about to explode — maybe.

WATCH: Brian Robinson Jr. making his case for GMFB’s ‘Angry Runs’ scepter

Brian Robinson Jr. is having a career game for the Commanders.

Kyle Brandt of the NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football” has a weekly segment he calls “Angry Runs.”

Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. is making his case to win the scepter for Week 12. Brandt awards a scepter to the weekly winner.

On Washington’s first possession of the day, Robinson caught a 14-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Taylor Heinicke, where he bowled over an Atlanta defender on his way to the score.

Brandt took notice on Twitter.

However, Robinson wasn’t done.

Later in the game, Robinson had more for the Falcons. Robinson made a nice move in the backfield, then was hit hard by an Atlanta defender. Instead of going down, Robinson regrouped and broke multiple tackles, including delivering another blow and picking up 10 yards and the first down.

Robinson is having a career game. In the fourth quarter of Washington’s game against the Falcons, Robinson has rushed for 100 yards on 16 attempts and caught two passes for 20 yards and a touchdown.

While Robinson would love to win the scepter, he’d prefer the Commanders win the game.

Brandt is certainly paying attention, though.
