4-star RB Tory Blaylock puts Ducks among top schools

4-star RB Tory Blaylock puts Ducks among top schools

The Oregon Ducks have recruited the running back position at an impressive clip over the past few years, especially since Carlos Locklyn came to town over a year ago. With commitments from 4-stars Jordan James, Dante Dowdell, and Jayden Limar, plus transfers from Bucky Irving and Noah Whittington, Oregon fans are used to getting good news at the RB position.

The Ducks are now in a good position when it comes to one of the top RBs in the 2025 class as well. 4-star RB Tory Blaylock announced his top 13 schools on Saturday, listing the Ducks along with schools like Ohio State, Alabama, Texas, Georiga, and several others.

Blaylock is rated by the 247Sports Composite as the No. 154 overall player in the 2025 class, and the No. 15 RB. He has yet to take a visit to Oregon, but we will likely see that change in the coming months as he continues to narrow his recruitment down.

Eagles All-Pro wide receiver AJ Brown responds strongly to CeeDee Lamb comparison

Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro wide receiver A.J. Brown was having none of a Thursday afternoon PFF comparison to Cowboys star CeeDee Lamb.

A.J. Brown is one of the top wide receivers in the NFL, and he’s not here for your daily hot takes and lazy comparisons.

The Twitter page for PFF Fantasy Football sent out a tweet asking fans who is WR1 in a comparison of the Eagles All-Pro and Cowboys star CeeDee Lamb.

Brown “respectfully” chimed in, dismissing any comparisons or debate about the two as players.

Statistically, it’s close, as Lamb logged 107 catches (5th NFL) for 1,359 yards (6th NFL) and nine touchdowns (tied for 6th) while averaging 12.7 yards (41st NFL) per catch.

Brown finished last season with 88 catches (13th NFL) for an Eagles franchise record 1,496 yards (4th), 11 touchdowns (tied for 3rd), and 17.0 yards per catch (4th).

Brown also posted those numbers while playing next to DeVonta Smith, who posted 95 catches for 1,195 yards and seven touchdowns with a 12.6 average.

Broncos, Chiefs and Raiders have all won 3 Super Bowls with Chargers yet to win their first

The Broncos, Chiefs and Raiders have all won three Super Bowls. The Chargers, meanwhile, are yet to win their first.

When the AFC West was founded as part of the American Football League as the Western Division in 1960, it included the Dallas Texans, the Denver Broncos, the Los Angeles Chargers and the Oakland Raiders.

The Texans later moved to Kansas City and renamed themselves the Chiefs in 1963. The Chargers left Los Angeles for San Diego in 1961 and later returned to L.A. in 2017. The Raiders left Oakland for L.A. in 1982 and returned to Oakland in 1995 before relocating to Las Vegas in 2020. The Broncos have remained in Denver since 1960.

All four teams remained in the division when the AFL and NFL merged in 1970. Other teams have come and gone since then, but the original four have remained in the AFC West since the division’s founding.

The AFC West has been incredibly competitive, with all four teams owning exactly 15 division titles each.

Three members have won three Super Bowl titles each: The Raiders (XI in 1976, XV in 1980 and XVIII in 1983), Broncos (XXXII in 1997, XXXIII in 1998 and 50 in 2015) and Chiefs (IV in 1969, LIV in 2019 and LVII in 2022). The Chargers, meanwhile, are still seeking their first NFL title.

The Chargers did win an AFL title in 1963, as did the Raiders (1967), and the Chiefs won three times (1962, 1966 and 1969). That league had just 10 teams at its peak, though, so an AFL title obviously doesn’t stack up to a Super Bowl win.

While the Broncos and Raiders try to prevent the Chiefs from pulling ahead with a fourth Super Bowl, the Chargers will still be seeking their first title in 2023.

Browns playoff hopes: Three primary games in Week 17

The Browns don’t play until Monday but two vital games on Sunday at 1 PM could decide their playoff fate:

The Cleveland Browns have playoff hopes. They are alive and well going into Week 17. Quickly, they could go from alive to basically dead depending on the result of one game.

We start with the team’s wild-card hopes: They are slim. The Browns would need a wild combination of factors to go their way over the final two weeks to be able to claim a wild card spot. If all of the Week 17 games go in the right way, we will cover in detail what would need to happen in Week 18.

Suffice to say, Cleveland could still make the playoffs even if their hopes of the AFC North are squashed on Sunday. It won’t be easy but it still could be possible.

What is very simple, for either their hopes of winning the AFC North or the wild card spot, is that the Browns must win both of their final two games to have any shot at the playoffs. From a chronological perspective, their game comes last in Week 17 but nothing matters if they don’t beat the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football.

Before that game comes two vital games, both at 1 PM Sunday. The first is the Cincinnati Bengals versus the Kansas City Chiefs. This is the most important game for Cleveland. If the Bengals win, the AFC North crown will not come to northern Ohio in 2021 and that will leave the Browns praying for a wild card miracle.

The second game is also at 1 PM with the Baltimore Ravens facing the Los Angeles Rams. While this game is less important, the Ravens just have to lose one of their last two, a Baltimore loss would set up Cleveland nicely to control their destiny going into Week 18.

For the Browns it is very simple for Week 17:

Bengals loss + Ravens loss + Browns win = Cleveland control destiny for AFC North crown

Bengals loss + Ravens win + Browns win = Cleveland needs to win in Week 18 and have Baltimore lose to Pittsburgh to win AFC North

Bengals win = Cleveland out of AFC North picture and, depending on other Week 17 results, slim hope of wild card

Browns lose = Cleveland out of any playoff hopes in 2021

Former Oklahoma basketball star Trae Young will be College GameDay’s guest picker

Toby Keith? Bob Stoops? Kyler Murray? No, no and no. It will be Trae Young who will guest pick games on ESPN’s College GameDay.

Toby Keith? Bob Stoops? Kyler Murray?

No, no and no.

ESPN’s College GameDay is live from Norman, Oklahoma, for the big matchup between Oklahoma and Oklahoma State in Bedlam. The guest picker for the show has been hotly (not) debated for much of the week leading up to the Saturday morning show.

It won’t be any of those three, as ESPN has selected former Sooners’ basketball star Trae Young as the guest picker for the show.

Young played one season for Lon Kruger and Oklahoma in 2017-18. He led all of college basketball that season in points (27.4 per game) and assists (8.7 per game), the first player in the history of the game to do so in both categories. Young would go on to be named an All-Big 12 selection, the USBWA Wayman Tisdale Freshman of the Year and a consensus All-American.

He would become the No. 5 selection in the 2018 NBA Draft for the Atlanta Hawks and was named an All-Star in just his second season this past season.

College GameDay is currently live on ESPN. Oklahoma and Oklahoma State are set to kickoff at 6:30 p.m. CT on ABC.
