During its February 15 game against Minnesota, Notre Dame will express its partnership with the 525 Foundation’s Drop 2 Stop program. The Irish will wear jerseys with a green script Irish logo as well as an interior patch with the 525 Foundation logo. The jerseys will be auctioned online with the proceeds going to the foundation.

The 525 Foundation is dedicated to raising awareness of opioid misuse and abuse. The partnership between the program and the foundation is spearheaded by Graham Slaggert, who grew up in South Bend playing youth hockey with brothers Nick and Jack Savage. The brothers died after an episode of opioid abuse and misuse. The number 2 in “Drop 2 Stop” represents the two lives that were lost.

As part of Saturday’s activities, fans attending the game can drop off expired or unneeded pills at an information table that will be set up inside the main entrance of the Compton Family Ice Arena.
