WATCH: Raheem Mostert puts finishing touches on dominant 49ers showing

The 49ers dominated Sunday night, and Raheem Mostert put a cap on it.

The 49ers went 69 yards on 10 plays in 6:31 to put the finishing touches on their dismantling of the Green Bay Packers. Raheem Mostert blasted in from 15 yards out to make it a 37-8 game with 4:58 left.

Dominance from start to finish by the 49ers.

Sack Francisco: Jaquiski Tartt, Arik Armstead drop Aaron Rodgers again

The 49ers pass rush was dominant Sunday night.

The 49ers pass rush needed to be dominant against Green Bay. They were from the first snap of the game, and continued early in the fourth quarter when the Packers went for it on fourth-and-8 down 30-8.

Armstead has 10.5 sacks on the season and 2.5 Sunday night. Tartt also got credit for a half sack.

WATCH: George Kittle is back with long TD

George Kittle announced his presence with authority on a long TD catch to answer a Packers score.

The Packers scored a touchdown midway through the third quarter to cut San Francisco’s lead to 23-8. The 49ers needed two plays to answer with a touchdown of their won. Jimmy Garoppolo found Kendrick Bourne for 14 yards, then hit George Kittle deep for a touchdown.

That’s one way to answer a touchdown. Kittle’s presence has been enormous, in case there was any question about his importance to the offense.

WATCH: Nick Bosa ends 3-game streak without a sack

Nick Bosa ended his three-game streak without a sack Sunday night.

The 49ers got a huge stop late in the first half that allowed them to kick a field goal and go up 23-0 as time expired in the second quarter. That stop came courtesy of Nick Bosa, who got his first sack since Week 8.

San Francisco sacked Aaron Rodgers three times in the first half.

WATCH: Jimmy Garoppolo finds Deebo Samuel for long TD

The 49ers got a huge touchdown before the half when Jimmy Garoppolo hit Deebo Samuel for a 42-yard touchdown.

The 49ers needed a score before the half to put a stranglehold on Sunday night’s game. With the ball at the Green Bay 42, Jimmy Garoppolo found rookie wide receiver Deebo Samuel over the middle. Then the No. 36 overall pick took it upon himself to find the end zone.

That’s the type of playmaker the 49ers have been missing, and Samuel’s emergence over the last three weeks has given some optimism that this offense can make a deep run.

WATCH: Arik Armstead blasts Aaron Rodgers for sack

It’s rare Aaron Rodgers gets hit as hard as Arik Armstead hit him Sunday night.

A Nick Bosa-Arik Armstead stunt isn’t fair. Aaron Rodgers found that out in the second quarter Sunday night when Armstead flew around backup right tackle Alex Light for a big sack.

It’s pretty rare Rodgers takes a shot like that. Expect the 49ers to run that stunt plenty this season. Armstead extended his team lead in sacks as well. He has 9.0 on the season.

WATCH: 49ers get huge stop on 4th-and-1

The Packers were driving deep into 49ers territory, and tried for a fourth-and-1, but the defensive line took over.

The Packers offense was cruising to start the second quarter. They moved down to San Francisco’s 28. A slant to Davante Adams went for seven yards on third-and-8. Jimmie Ward made a nice stop to bring up a fourth-and-1. That’s when the defensive line went to work.

San Francisco’s defensive line is owning the line of scrimmage so far, which is the main reason Green Bay was scoreless through five series.

49ers get off to scorching hot start behind Fred Warner, Tevin Coleman

Fred Warner and Nick Bosa combined for a takeaway, then Tevin Coleman scored one play later.

The 49ers couldn’t have asked for a better start Sunday night against the Packers. Green Bay faced a third-and-10 at their own 25 on their first series, and 49ers linebacker Fred Warner got home to force a fumble that Nick Bosa recovered at the Green Bay 2-yard line.

San Francisco scored on the next play on a Tevin Coleman two-yard run.

Marquise Goodwin a healthy scratch vs. Packers

The 49ers’ speedy wide receiver is a healthy scratch for Sunday Night Football.

There was a small surprise on the 49ers’ inactives list for Sunday night vs. the Packers. Wide receiver Marquise Goodwin is a healthy scratch. George Kittle, Deebo Samuel and Emmanuel Sanders are all officially active.

Here’s the full list of inactives:

QB CJ Beathard
OT Joe Staley
RB Matt Breida
DE Dee Ford
K Robbie Gould
WR Marquise Goodwin
TE Levine Toilolo

Goodwin had a huge game last season vs. the Packers on Monday Night Football with four catches for 126 yards and two touchdowns. He won’t get a chance to replicate that effort this year.

Toilolo is also a healthy scratch. There was some speculation pregame that Gould would play when he was warming up well before kickoff, but the nature of his injury and position makes it tough to activate him unless he’s 100 percent healthy.

Last week the 49ers didn’t have much choice with their inactives given how injured they were, but they’re much healthier going into Sunday night, which allows them to sit Goodwin and Toilolo.

San Francisco elected to go deep at defensive line with Jullian Taylor and DJ Jones both active. They’ll also be deep at linebacker with Azeez Al-Shaair and Elijah Lee both active.

Here are the Packers inactives:

Frank Gore moves to No. 3 on all-time rushing list

Frank Gore’s incredible career took another step forward when he moved to No. 3 on the NFL’s all-time rushing list.

Frank Gore moved into third place on the NFL’s all-time rushing list with a 65-yard outing Sunday for the Bills in a 20-3 win over the Broncos. Gore is up to 15,289, and passed Barry Sanders who finished his career at 15,269.

Here’s what the top-five looks like after Sunday:

1. Emmitt Smith, 18,335
2. Walter Payton, 16,726
3. Frank Gore, 15,289
4. Barry Sanders, 15,269
5. Curtis Martin, 14,101

The only active player even close to cracking the top five is Adrian Peterson, who sits at 13,861 after rushing for 27 yards vs. the Lions on Sunday.

Gore began his career with the 49ers as a third-round pick out of Miami in the 2005 draft. He spent his first 10 NFL seasons with the 49ers and posted a franchise-high 11,073 yards while earning five Pro Bowl nods.

After departing from San Francisco, he spent three years with the Colts and one with the Dolphins before signing with the Bills this offseason.

While Gore hasn’t been with the 49ers since 2014, no player has worn No. 21 since he departed. His number should be retired in San Francisco after his career is over, and he should cap his stellar career with enshrinement into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
