Through the first four games of the season, the Golden State Warriors were missing Draymond Green. The three-time All-Star was ruled out for each game of Golden State’s four-game road trip with an injury in his foot.
On New Year’s Day, Green could be making his highly-anticipated return to Golden State’s lineup for the first time this season. In a pregame press conference with members of the media, Steve Kerr said he believes Green is “good to go” for his debut against the Trail Blazers on Friday night.
I probably should’ve checked with the training staff before I came up here. I believe Draymond [Green] is good to go. After shootaround, everything was fine. All indications are that he’s going to play. Eric [Paschall] is probable. He went through shootaround, and he was fine. Barring any last-minute changes, they both should be good to go.

With Green slated to make his debut against the Trail Blazers at Chase Center, it will be the first time the Warriors can feature a lineup with Curry, Andrew Wiggins, Kelly Oubre Jr., 2020 No. 2 overall pick James Wiseman and the former Defensive Player of the Year.
The Warriors tip-off against the Trail Blazers for Golden State’s home opener in San Francisco at 7:30 p.m. PST on New Year’s Day.
