NBA 2K is among the most popular games in the world. Every year, during the offseason, 2K begins to release its player ratings. For fans of the gaming franchise, it’s a first chance to see how their favorite players stack up against each other and how they compare to previous iterations of the game.
On Wednesday, Aug. 9, NBA 2K began releasing some of the star player ratings, including Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry. As such, it should come as no surprise that Curry will begin the new NBA 2K season with an overall rating of 96, making him one of the best players in the game out of the gate.
Considering Curry is among the best guards in NBA history, it’s only fair that he would be given among the highest-rated players in the game. From the currently released list of players, only one person has a higher rating than Curry. Reigning NBA champion Nikola Jokic has a 98 overall rating.

Luka Doncic, Jayson Tatum and Jimmy Butler trail with a 95 overall rating.
2K fans will eagerly await the release of more player ratings in the coming days as we edge closer to the release of the next installment in the popular gaming franchise.
