Preparations for this week’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals has been quite challenging for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger among others has been unable to workout with the team due to being on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.

Now, according to head coach Mike Tomlin, two more players are being held out as a precaution. Running back Anthony McFarland has missed the last two days with what was characterized as an illness and on Friday the Steelers also held out rookie guard Kevin Dotson as a precaution.

The Steelers have to be overly cautious at this point after the situation last week with tight end Vance McDonald. McDonald was sick prior to the Steelers game against the Baltimore Ravens. The team had him travel and on the Monday after the game, he tested positive for COVID-19.
