Following Sunday’s loss to the Wizards, the team’s fifth straight loss to close the regular season, the Hornets fell to the 10th seed in the Eastern Conference and will meet the Indiana Pacers, the ninth seed, on the road on Tuesday evening.
The Hornets and Pacers will tip-off on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in Indianapolis. The game will take place on TNT. Following that game, the Wizards will meet the Celtics in Boston at 9 p.m, also on TNT.
The loser of game two will host the winner of game one two days later on Thursday, May 20, at 8 p.m. with that game also being on TNT. The winner of that contest will be the eighth seed.

The Hornets and Pacers met three times this season with Charlotte winning two of those contests. The sides had a two-game mini-series in late January with the Pacers taking game one by a 116-106 final behind a Domantas Sabonis triple-double. Two days later, six Hornets reached double figures in scoring as Charlotte won 108-105.
The two teams met once more in Indiana on April 2 in one of the best wins of the season for Charlotte. Already without LaMelo Ball and Malik Monk due to injury, the Hornets lost Gordon Hayward midway through the contest but still won by double digits, 114-97, led by Miles Bridges’ 23 points.
