Social media reacts to Johnny Manziel announcing that his ‘Money Bar’ will open in the fall

Aggie football legend Johnny Manziel is making an emphatic return to College Station…as a small business owner. Twitter reacted accordingly to the announcement.

Texas A&M football legend Johnny Manziel is making an emphatic return to College Station…as a small business owner. This week, it was revealed that the former Aggie quarterback and four others would open a bar in College Station.

We’ll keep our comments to ourselves, but that doesn’t mean social media was as tight-lipped on the development.

Truth be told, Manziel’s second act in the NFL was not as nearly successful as his breakout campaign with the Aggies early in his collegiate career. Nestled in between were more than a few high-profile incidents off the field, which will likely be covered when Manziel’s Netflix documentary airs on August 8.

If anything, opening up a small business indicates the Aggie legend embracing his post-football career with a chance to return to the place that helped usher in some of the best moments of his athletic career. You will never find a more passionate fanbase than that of the 12th Man, and Manziel opening his business within College Station allows him to connect with that community once more.

It should become a highly popular business within a matter of years, and if you find yourself passing through College Station, you should stop by. Until then, we wish good luck to Johnny and hope they succeed in Aggieland.

Here are a few of the social media reactions to Manziel’s announcement.
