Sixers stats: Tobias Harris put up a stat line not seen since Charles Barkley

Philadelphia 76ers forward Tobias Harris achieved a stat line not seen since Charles Barkley.

The Philadelphia 76ers are still working out the kinks, but they are doing so while winning basketball games. The Sixers are 5-1 through six games. They have won games ugly, and they have won them pretty.

On Saturday, their win over the Charlotte Hornets can be included in the pretty category. They knocked down 16 3-pointers, led by as many as 17, never trailed, and won comfortably 127-112. In the process, Tobias Harris continued his strong play as he put up 24 points, his third straight game scoring at least 20 points.

Harris also added nine rebounds with six assists, four steals and three blocks as he stuffed the stat sheet. That stat line is the first of its kind in Sixers history since Charles Barkley in 1990.

The Sixers are in need of this type of performance from Harris moving forward. They have been working with him to make quicker decisions. Both coach Doc Rivers and Ben Simmons were impressed by what Harris brought to the table, and the hope is he can keep it going beginning with Monday’s rematch with the Hornets at the Wells Fargo Center.
