The 2020 NBA draft is rapidly approaching and now is the time for speculation and mock drafts and everything else in between that comes with it.

The Philadelphia 76ers enter this draft with a first-round pick as they received some help from the Oklahoma City Thunder. The pick was top-20 protected, but the Thunder won just enough games to have the pick convey to the Sixers at number 21.

USA Today has put out their latest mock draft and they have the Sixers selecting a familiar name for fans recently in Stanford’s Tyrell Terry. Philadelphia held a draft interview with Terry earlier and they have hopes that he is there at 21.

USA Today on the pick:

While the exposure of the NBA combine wasn’t as intact this offseason due to the pandemic, Terry was one player who used the crucial assessment period – conducted mostly in a virtual capacity – to his advantage by bulking up. He also grew an inch. His three-point marksmanship is what will entice most teams looking to bolster their outside shooting.

Terry is a guy who shot 40.8% from deep in his one season in college so he has shown that has the range to make it work in the NBA. He also is a guy who can put the ball on the floor and create for others. The shooting the playmaking ability is something the Sixers have been missing for a little while so he would come in and make an immediate impact. [lawrence-related id=38704,38699,38693]
