Are they comparable to Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant? No. And that’s not what Charles Barkley was saying on Thursday night — they are “Shaq and Kobe-like,” Chuck said.
O’Neal’s reaction? He just sipped some tea. I have to say, I agree. You kind of have to save that pairing for the elite of the elite, and while Simmons and Embiid are stars, they’re not at that level yet.
“Those guys are going to be a problem every night,” Barkley tried to clarify. Either way, it was quite a fun sequence to watch unfold:
