It’s starting to feel like summer. The New Orleans Saints announced this week that they will kick off their 2021 training camp on July 25 for rookies and players recovering from injuries, with veterans arriving by July 27. The first non-padded practice will be held on July 29, and fans can begin attending July 30.
There will be seven practice sessions open to the public, but free tickets must be reserved in advance (which you can register for online starting July 23, though season ticket holders and waiting list members get first priority on July 21 and 22, respectively). All practices will be held at the Ochsner Sports Performance Center in Metairie, La., beginning each day at 9:30 a.m. CT. Here are the dates when fans can attend:
- Friday, July 30
- Saturday, July 31
- Thursday, Aug. 5
- Friday, Aug. 6
- Saturday, Aug. 7
- Friday, Aug. 20
- Saturday, Aug. 21
As All-Pro defensive end Cameron Jordan recently observed, it’s going to be a “fun and interesting” experience this year with the first real quarterback competition we’ve seen in the Sean Payton era dominating training camp storylines. But there will be dozens of players competing for jobs beyond Taysom Hill and Jameis Winston, so we’ll be sure to keep you in the know here at Saints Wire. If you’re interesting in going yourself, be sure to check the official attendance and parking policies at NewOrleansSaints.com.
