Kings at Lakers picks and predictions
Prediction
Kings 111, Lakers 103
Moneyline
PASS.
I like the Kings to win as +100 underdogs. However, they are not worth the risk of betting on with how poorly they have played lately and this being their first game without Brown.
I am also picking the Kings to cover, and I am not a fan of doubling down on the ML and spread for the same team. So, pass here, and bet the spread and/or total instead.
Against the spread
LEAN KINGS +1.5 (-115).
I expect Davis to miss this game, as he is just a few days removed from his ankle sprain. I also expect James to sit, as seemingly half of the league is missing time due to illness right now. Without those 2 players in their way, the Kings should have no problem covering here.
If by some miracle James and Davis can both go, then this bet becomes a lot more risky.
This is a lean because L.A. has dominated the Kings this season and Sacramento has been abysmal lately, losing 12 of its last 17 games while going just 3-7 ATS in its last 10.
Over/Under
BET UNDER 221.5 (-110).
The Under has hit in 5 of L.A.’s last 7 games and is 17-13 for the Lakers this season. For Sacramento, the Under is 3-1 in its last 4 games overall and 2-1 in its last 3 on the road. The Under has also hit in back-to-back meetings between these squads.
With L.A. likely missing both of its star players, its offense will struggle, so the Under is a safe bet here.
