Rutgers has three commitments from New York so far in this recruiting cycle. Deondre Johnson (Newburgh Free Academy; Newburgh, N.Y.) committed to Rutgers in mid-May. Then, following a summer camp, Long Island wide receiver Dylan Braithwaite (Holy Trinity; Hicksville, N.Y.) committed to Rutgers along with safety Ian Strong.
