UNC guard [autotag]RJ Davis[/autotag] has leaped [autotag]Hubert Davis[/autotag] in career three-pointers made, doing so in Tar Heel fashion by beating the first-half buzzer against Pitt.
Davis continues to make history for UNC this season, hitting the 198th three-pointer of his career, which moves him to 9th. Davis still has plenty of time to climb the list more, with former teammate Caleb Love next to pass and UNC assistant coach Jeff Lebo two spots ahead with 211 threes in his UNC career.
If Davis were to pass Lebo, he would then be after Donald Williams and Rashad McCants, who are tied with 221 threes. There’s still plenty of time for Davis to catch up with Joel Berry, who is second all-time with 266 threes. Reaching the top spot would be a daunting task, with Marcus Paige’s 299 threes reigning superior.

Davis has been remarkable this season, averaging 21.6 points per game, ranking eighth-best in the nation. He’s become a focal point on UNC’s offense, and it has paid off big time.
