Report: Zach LaVine progressing well, to return ‘in the near future’

The return of the Bulls All-Star seems to be right around the corner.

Sometimes good news is paired with bad news.

Today, the Chicago Bulls announced that Lonzo Ball would undergo arthroscopic surgery on his left knee to repair a small meniscus tear, which sidelines him for 6-8 weeks.

But, the Bulls’ backcourt may be getting some reinforcements back sooner rather than later.

Reported by Shams Charania of Stadium, Zach LaVine’s knee injury is progressing in the right direction and ‘there’s hope that he’ll return in the near future, possibly as soon as next Wednesday.’

With Ball out for the foreseeable future, a quick return by LaVine will help the Bulls so much, who have lost four of their last five games.

In the absences of Ball and LaVine, Coby White and rookie Ayo Dosunmu have stepped up to the plate and played well in starting roles, which can only build up their confidence and the overall bench depth of the Bulls when they return.

Stay tuned to Lonzo Wire for updates on LaVine’s return to the lineup.
