Report: Sixers to sign undrafted Julian Champagnie to two-way deal

The Philadelphia 76ers will sign St. John’s Julian Champagnie in a two-way deal.

The 2022 NBA draft is in the books and the Philadelphia 76ers made their big move by trading their No. 23 pick, along with Danny Green, to the Memphis Grizzlies in order to acquire De’Anthony Melton. It is a win-now move to help on their chase for a title.

With that being said, now is the time to take a look at some potential undrafted players who can try and make an impact with the Sixers in the Las Vegas Summer League as they move forward with their careers.

The Sixers will sign St. John’s Julian Champagnie to a two-way deal after the draft. He averaged 19.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in his junior season with the Red Storm and he won the Big East Most Improved Player award in the 2020-21 season.

Champagnie will look to move forward and make an impact in the summer league with the Sixers. He is probably going to head to the G League once the season begins, but he just needs an opportunity to prove himself at this level. The Sixers will offer it to him.
