Who says you can’t go home again? Not Bill Belichick.
After an awful run with the Detroit Lions as head coach, Matt Patricia is returning to the safe confines of the New England Patriots, per the Boston Globe.

Patricia was an assistant coach for 14 seasons, with the Patriots, including six seasons as the team’s defensive coordinator from 2012-17.
During his tenure with the Patriots, Patricia won three Super Bowls, two as defensive coordinator, and presided over a defense in 2016 that led the league in fewest points allowed.
Patricia was head coach of the Lions from 2018-20 before being fired during last season after going 13-29.
