RB LeSean McCoy
Age: 31
The Bills under head coach Sean McDermott and general manager Brandon Beane have kept good relationships with players throughout the NFL, even when moving on from them. At one point, McCoy did say he wished the Bills had been “more honest” with him prior to his release, but overall, he touts Buffalo and positively looks at his time in Orchard Park. In that light, the Bills could approach him, and be more honest now, and say something like: ‘Listen, you’re the No. 3 and our new, backup, veteran leader, who will get a few carries here and there.’ Could be tempting if Shady doesn’t find a better role than that.
OL Larry Warford
Age: 29
Beane admitted after the recent draft he tried and failed to trade up for an offensive lineman. Why not add a guy who’s a Pro Bowler in the last three-straight seasons? In addition, at 29, Warford could have several years left in the tank for a new team. Warford also has experience with Bills offensive line coach Bobby Johnson. He was previously looking for near $7 million per season on the market, but perhaps that’s since dropped.
