Redskins players don’t break top 50 on merchandise sales

The Redskins don’t show up on an interesting list.

The Washington Redskins have some fun stars on their team — but the merchandise sales will have to wait.

According to Michael Phillips of the Richmond Times-Dispatch, the NFLPA released its top 50 in merchandise earners and no Redskins made an appearance.

That’s rather staggering given the size of the market and the fact it spanned 50 players.

But some future candidates could certainly end up making the list. Terry McLaurin is perhaps the first name to come to mind after his wicked breakout season at wideout.

And down the road, both first-round products Dwayne Haskins and Montez Sweat always have a chance if they can grow into starting roles and command national attention.

Keep in mind the second overall pick this year too, whether it’s Chase Young or otherwise.

If Ron Rivera rights this ship in the proper manner, the Redskins might not find themselves blanked on lists like this for long.
