Ravens trade Orlando Brown Jr. to Chiefs for massive haul

The Baltimore Ravens traded tackle Orlando Brown Jr. to the Kansas City Chiefs for a massive draft haul

The Baltimore Ravens were put in a tough situation by tackle Orlando Brown Jr., as he demanded a trade from the team in his quest to be a full-time left tackle in the NFL. Brown got his wish on Friday, as Baltimore traded him to the Kansas City Chiefs in a massive deal.

Brown played for three years with the Ravens after being selected with the 83rd pick out of the University of Oklahoma. He quickly blossomed into one of the best young offensive tackles in the NFL, and is now going to protect Patrick Mahomes’ blind side in Kansas City.

If Baltimore had kept Brown on their roster, they would have likely seen him walk during 2022 free agency, but would have probably gotten a third-round compensatory pick based off of the value of the deal that he would have signed. Instead, the team opts to move up in the 2021 draft and is also expected to sign veteran tackle Alejandro Villanueva after May 3rd.
