Ravens TE Mark Andrews believes TE Isaiah Likely is going to ‘shock the world’

Ravens tight end Mark Andrews showered plenty of praise on tight end Isaiah Likely

The Baltimore Ravens have been historically strong at drafting tight ends, and that didn’t change in 2022. The team drafted both Charlie Kolar out of Iowa State and Isaiah Likely out of Coastal Carolina in the in the fourth round, adding to their already talented tight end room. Kolar missed all of training camp and the preseason with an injury and was placed on injured reserve, but Likely has made a name for himself throughout the last few weeks.

Ravens tight end Mark Andrews was asked about Likely and what makes him so slippery as a player. The veteran talked about how he’s able to find zones, is a willing blocker, and is will shock the world by making a name for himself outside of Baltimore.

“He [Isaiah Likely] has got a great feel. He’s got a great feel, he’s got quick feet, he wins his one-on-ones, he finds the zones – there’s really not much he can’t do – and he’s a very, very willing blocker. He’s going to continue to get better and better at that. So, he’s a complete tight end. In Baltimore everybody knows him, but he’s going to shock the world.”

If Likely can continue to take his game to the next level, the Ravens will have hit on another playmaking tight end in the draft with Andrews as one of the top tight ends in the NFL. Learning behind Andrews will benefit Likely tremendously, and both will be able to feed off of each other on the field as well.
