Ravens sign CB, place OLB on injured reserve

The Ravens signed a cornerback and placed an outside linebacker on injured reserve on Monday

The Baltimore Ravens had to do plenty of roster shuffling over the course of the 2021 season with how many injuries the team went through. They finished the year at 8-9 after a six-game losing streak, missing the playoffs for the first time since 2017.

Baltimore has seen some positional groups need some infusion of depth so far in 2022, with cornerback and outside linebacker being two of them. On Monday the team announced that they made two roster moves, signing cornerback Daryl Worley while placing outside linebacker Vince Biegel on injured reserve with a torn achilles.

Worley is entering his seventh season in the NFL, and spent part of the 2021 season with the Ravens after injuries decimated the cornerback position. In his career he’s totaled 272 tackles and five interceptions.

Biegel was vying for a 53-man roster spot in Baltimore, but suffered a torn achilles in practice on Thursday. It’s the second torn achilles in three years for the veteran, and the third season-ending injury in three years. Baltimore could look to add more depth at the position before the year begins depending on the health of Tyus Bowser and David Ojabo.
