Rams injury report: Akers still sidelined, Brown returns

Cam Akers missed his second straight day of practice Thursday.

The Rams held their second practice of the week on Thursday and for the most part, it was good news on the injury front.

Malcolm Brown was a full participant after missing Wednesday’s practice with a finger injury. Sean McVay said at the start of the week that Brown will be able to play with a splint on his fractured left pinky.

Darious Williams has Achilles tendonitis and missed Wednesday’s practice as a result, but he at least did some work Thursday as a limited participant.

Unfortunately, Cam Akers remains sidelined with his rib injury and has yet to practice. McVay expressed optimism on Monday but didn’t sound so confident Thursday.

“He’s coming along, maybe a little bit slower than I had expected, but he’s making progress. We’ll see where he’s at tomorrow,” McVay said.
