For those Seattle Seahawks fans who are anxiously awaiting news about Jadeveon Clowney’s free agency, you’re not alone.
Seahawks safety Quandre Diggs took to Twitter on Friday afternoon to make a plea for Clowney to “come home” aka return to the Seahawks for at least another season.
If you can hear me @clownejd come home. https://t.co/FrqfFTrkVI

Clowney, 27, was originally looking for a multi-year contract in the $18-20 million dollar range annually, but after two weeks without a deal the consensus is that his price has come down – making it more likely he will end up back in Seattle.
COVID-19 has certainly hampered Clowney’s value on the open market, as his inability to get a physical or meet in person with other teams likely has them hesitant to offer big money to a player coming off post-season surgery and a season where he only racked up three sacks.
However, he would be a huge get for a Seattle defense that is still desperate for help rushing the passer – and getting both Clowney and Diggs back in the mix for a full season in 2020 would do wonders for this team as they look to stay competitive in the NFC West.
