A brand new Pokémon title has been unleashed upon the world and queues formed outside all video game outlets this morning as hype rose to a fever pitch. Pokémon Legends: Arceus is a brand new mainline Pokémon game that eschews everything you currently know about the traditional formula. Turn-based battles are gone, the linear route structure is gone – even some of the Pokémon themselves have had a quite drastic transformation in this new game, and that includes the evolutions of the three otherwise familiar starter Pokémon.
Cyndaquil, Oshawott, and Rowlet are the trio you can choose from at the beginning of the game, and each of their final evolutions will be a unique Hisuian variant you won’t have seen before, complete with a brand new secondary type to change how you should use them in battle.
