Poirier and McGregor split their first two head-to-head showdowns. Poirier won most recently via a second-round TKO at UFC 257 in January. He’s the No. 1 challenger in the lightweight division and is facing the fifth-ranked McGregor instead of trying for the championship belt.

Neither has fought since January.
