Moments after the Steelers waived tight end Christian Scotland-Williamson on Monday, they signed former Bears TE Dax Raymond. Raymond is an undrafted Utah State who was part of the Bears 2019 practice squad.
As part of the NFL’s International Player Pathway program, Scotland-Williamson, a former rugby star, has been on the Steelers practice squad since 2018.
Christian shared in an interview with Steelers.com that his parents had both contracted COVID-19. He was waived with a non-football injury designation.
