Pittsburgh Steelers odds to win Super Bowl LVI

Analyzing the Pittsburgh Steelers’ odds to win Super Bowl LVI.

The Pittsburgh Steelers (9-7-1) punched their ticket into the NFL playoffs as the 7-seed in the AFC conference. They join 13 other NFL teams focused on Super Bowl LVI, which takes place Sunday, Feb. 13, 2022, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif.

Pittsburgh snuck into the postseason on the last day of the season by upsetting the Baltimore Ravens, 16-13, in overtime this past Sunday.

Also, the Steelers needed and got help from the Jacksonville Jaguars, who stunned the football world by upsetting the Indianapolis Colts 26-11 in Week 18.

After Pittsburgh’s and Jacksonville’s victories, all the Steelers needed to advance to the playoffs was for the Los Angeles Chargers versus Las Vegas Raiders game on Sunday Night Football to not end in a tie.

It was a sweat for Pittsburgh, to say the least, as the Raiders defeated the Chargers 35-32 in overtime with a game-winning field goal as time expired.

This is reportedly QB Ben Roethlisberger‘s final season in Pittsburgh, and head coach Mike Tomlin has never had a losing season in his 15 years with the Steelers.

Furthermore, Steelers OLB T.J. Watt tied NFL Hall of Famer Michael Strahan’s single-season sack record with 22.5 sacks.

Pittsburgh advanced to the postseason despite being outscored 23.4-20.2 per game and having a 7-10 expected win-loss record.

The Steelers rank 23rd in offensive expected points added per play (EPA/play) and 16th in defensive EPA/play. Pittsburgh has the worst odds in the NFL to win the Big Game.
