The Oklahoma City Thunder’s six-game winning streak was snapped with a 127-123 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday.
It was a battle of guard-center duos — Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 31 points while Chet Holmgren had 33 points and three blocks. Joel Embiid had 35 points, 11 rebounds, nine assists and four blocks. Tyrese Maxey tallied 28 points.
The Sixers enjoyed an eye-popping 45 free-throw night. Reigning MVP Embiid led the way with 21 free-throw attempts.
OKC attempted to come back from a double-digit deficit in the final frame, but it only got as close as two points before the Sixers created additional distance on the scoreboard.
