The sky is falling indeed for the Miami Dolphins. Myles Gaskin and Salvon Ahmed were already placed on the COVID-19 list.
On Monday, Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network reported that Phillip Lindsay tested positive for COVID-19, putting a massive wrench into the Dolphins’ plans for Sunday’s game against the New York Jets.
The former Colorado Buffaloes star is now the third running back in Miami to test positive in what has been an unreal turn of events.
After being released from the Texans and then landing with the Dolphins, Lindsay has played in just one game, and his status for Sunday is up in the air.
Another one: #Dolphins RB Phillip Lindsay tested positive for COVID-19, per sources.
All three backs on Miami’s 53-man roster now have COVID, leaving the status of Lindsay, Myles Gaskin and Salvon Ahmed in doubt for Sunday’s game against the #Jets.

In his Dolphins debut, he was busy. Lindsay carried the ball 12 times for 42 yards in a surprise role, especially after being signed just days prior.
But, he ended missing the next game as he dealt with an ankle injury.
So, who will go for Miami on Sunday if all three running backs are out?
Who knows, but the NFL has been hit hard by COVID-19 issues all season, and the hope is that an outbreak in Miami is avoided.
Duke Johnson was promoted from the practice squad, but surely Miami is hoping for good news on the availability of the others before Sunday rolls around.
Since Lindsay is the last one to pop up on the list, his chances of playing are really slim, which is too bad especially because he was ready to return after an ankle injury.
We’ll keep a close eye on Lindsay’s situation over the next few days and hopefully he can return to the field soon.
