Every team needs that guy off the bench who provides a little bit of hustle on both ends of the floor. That guy who understands his role and he plays it to the best of his ability.
The Philadelphia 76ers got a glimpse of that when they acquired Glenn Robinson III from the Golden State Warriors at the February trade deadline. Unfortunately, a slow start combined with injuries did not allow the Sixers to fully get a look at the veteran out of Michigan. He only played 14 games with the Sixers and he averaged 7.7 points and 3.1 rebounds while shooting 33.3% from deep.

Robinson III really had a rough go at it when he first got to Philadelphia. He shot 40% from deep for the Warriors as he was one of their top contributors in what is a contract year for him and then he was moved to the Sixers and he was no longer a top option. He was coming off the bench and there was an adjustment period.
He began settling into his role a bit during the team’s west coast road trip and then the league went into the suspension due to the pandemic. He was then primed for a pretty big role for the team down in the bubble, but he suffered a muscle oblique strain in the second scrimmage game and he only played in two of the seeding games and he missed all of the playoffs.
Robinson III will have a decision to make when it comes to free agency. He had a strong season with the Warriors before coming to Philadelphia and he was getting ready to get into a groove again, but the mixture of the pandemic plus the injuries derailed him a little bit.
