Patrick Mahomes had a great response to Robert Saleh’s advice about his ‘little old man jog’

LOL.

Patrick Mahomes rallied the Kansas City Chiefs to a win over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 54 last February with some incredible plays down the stretch that left everyone in awe.

He made those plays against a 49ers defense that was led by its former coordinator, Robert Saleh.

That intense fella, who is now the head coach of the Jets, was asked by ProFooballTalk on Thursday about what kind of advice he’d give to the Bucs defense as it prepares to face Mahomes in Super Bowl 55.

This part about Mahomes’ “little old man jog” was pretty great:

He’s got tremendous mobility. But any time you’re a pass rusher just understand that he might do his little old man jog in between plays where it looks like his feet hurt. Don’t kid yourself. He’s got tremendous mobility, his arm strength is ridiculous. You have to be relentless all the way through. And understand that there could be a play and a second play that happens just because of his ability to extend plays and make the throws that other people can’t.”

Mahomes loved it:

Good stuff.

Can’t wait for Super Bowl 55.
