The official gameplay trailer for “Madden NFL 21” features Green Bay Packers edge rusher Za’Darius Smith.
The 90-second trailer shows Smith, who broke out with 13.5 sacks and an NFL-high 93 pressures during the 2019 season, as part of a showcase of the game’s new pass-rushing controls.
Smith is shown beating an offensive lineman for the Minnesota Vikings at Lambeau Field.
From the trailer:
A little love from the developers at EA Sports highlights Smith’s ascension as a star player in NFL. Signed by the Packers to a four-year deal after a relatively quiet start to his NFL career, Smith exploded during the 2019 season, producing a Pro Bowl year with career-highs in sacks, quarterback hits and pressures.
It’s possible Smith will be one of the game’s top-rated edge rushers when “Madden NFL 21” is released on Aug. 25.
The cover athlete is NFL MVP and Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson.
