OU Hockey is alive and well, will play next season at Arctic Edge Ice Arena in Edmond

After some uncertainty about the future of the program, OU Hockey will play next season at the Arctic Edge Ice Arena in Edmond.

After some uncertainty about the future of the program, OU Hockey will play next season. The club will be playing their home games at the Arctic Edge Ice Arena in Edmond, Oklahoma, which also houses the University of Central Oklahoma’s hockey team.

News of the move came after the NAHL’s Wichita Falls Warriors announced they would be moving into the Blazers Ice Centre.

OU Hockey will still practice through the week at the BIC in Oklahoma City, and will play their home games at Arctic Edge on the weekends.

While there are a few possible transfers, the roster remains almost completely intact.

OU Hockey will start to have a bigger presence on campus moving forward with the full support of OU’s Student Affairs office as they try to get more exposure to the student body.

OU Hockey has big things planned for the 2022 season.

Games against the newly reestablished Oklahoma State Hockey Club are in the works to bring Bedlam to the ice. A Red River Matchup against the University of Texas Hockey Club is in the works as well.

The schedule for the coming season is nearly complete for the Sooners as they look to return to nationals like their new rink mates UCO did last season.

The UCO Bronchos have been very supportive of the Sooners during these times for the club.

There is still much work to be done for the future of the program, but the important thing is this: OU Hockey is alive and well.
