Oklahoma native Josh Richardson upset over warning to Thunder kneeling

Philadelphia 76ers guard Josh Richardson is upset over the threatening of the Oklahoma City Thunder kneeling.

The NBA is in the middle of resuming the season not only in a global pandemic, but also in a huge Civil Rights movement that has swept the country. Plenty of NBA players, coaches, and referees have kneeled during the national anthem at the beginning of the game in a peaceful protest to spread their message.

However, in the state of Oklahoma, a representative has warned the Oklahoma City Thunder not to kneel during the anthem and has threatened their tax benefits.

Philadelphia 76ers guard Josh Richardson hails from Oklahoma and he was upset over the news. He called it embarrassing and sad as the teams get set to play their respective resumption openers on Saturday.

Kneeling during the anthem has never been about disrespecting the flag or the anthem. They are simply expressing their right to protest peacefully and bring awareness to the situation at hand.

One can expect some type of message on Saturday for Philadelphia in their resumption opener against the Indiana Pacers at 7:00 p.m. EST. [lawrence-related id=35933,35920,35912]
