OKC Thunder stats: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander second in league in 30-point games during losses

Being in the same company as LeBron James is always good news.

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has easily been the best player on one of the worst teams in the league. And that territory usually comes with a green light to score as many points as one can.

This has clearly been the case with Gilgeous-Alexander as he has been one of the best scorers in the league since the All-Star break. In fact, Gilgeous-Alexander is second in the entire league in 30-point games in losses with 16, one behind Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James this season, per StatMuse.

With Gilgeous-Alexander’s season likely done with due to a sore right ankle, his third season with the Thunder can be described as a success due to his high-efficiency scoring since the All-Star break.
