We finally know the game time of Ohio State’s next game on the road at Illinois. The schedule wasn’t immediately known because the Big Ten Network used one of its allotted six-day selections for the week, meaning many games had to wait until less than a week before kickoff to know what time slot the game would be played in.
And … wait for it — the game will be another nooner, but this time pushed to FS1 rather than the main FOX telecast we’ve seen Ohio State on so often. Even though it’s not being publicized as the feature game on the parent channel, it still gets the call from the lead broadcast team of Gus Johnson and Joel Klatt. Come to think of it, we’re about to make them the unofficial voices of the Ohio State Buckeyes at this point.
Illinois has won two-straight games after starting the season 0-3, so there is renewed optimism in Champaign. And as a reminder, this is the week usually reserved for The Game between Ohio State and Michigan. Welcome to 2020.
