When it comes to the history of college football, Ohio State holds a candle to almost no other program. Sure, there are some that are considered in the same breath as the Buckeyes, but good luck finding one that is considered superior.
To make that point, Ohio State has the highest winning percentage of all FBS teams that have been playing long enough, is tied for the most Heisman trophies with seven, and has churned out All-Americans and NFL draft picks among the best since all of it was being measured.
And now this. According to a graphic and research done by FOX College Football, Ohio State is tops in appearances all-time in the Associated Press College Football poll with 919. Right behind OSU is Michigan with a distant 866, followed by Oklahoma, Notre Dame, and Alabama.

This is just another example and metric that proves that Ohio State — if not the greatest college football program of all time — is right in the team picture.
