Notre Dame has landed its the quarterback for the 2022 recruiting class as Steve Angeli announced his pledge to Brian Kelly, Tommy Rees, and the rest of the Fighting Irish on Thursday night.
The Oradell, New Jersey (Bergen Catholic) quarterback became Notre Dame’s eighth commitment to the 2022 recruiting class and fifth offensive player. He chose the Irish over offers from some traditional powerhouses like Ohio State, LSU, Penn State, Oregon, Michigan, and several others.
Angeli is listed at 6-3, 215 pounds, and threw for 919 yards and six touchdowns in a shortened season last fall.
Angeli is listed as a four-star prospect on Rivals and a three-star on 247Sports.
