It is an extremely tough day in the sports world, as the loss of Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna, were tragically killed in a helicopter crash on Sunday.
The outpouring of love, support, prayer and admiration from his peers, his fans and his loved ones continues.
One of those people who shared a tremendous amount of respect for Bryant is Alabama head coach Nick Saban, who released a statement hours after the unfortunate news had broke:

One of the lines that stands out from Saban’s statement was in regards to Bryant’s competitive spirit:
“What truly separated him [Bryant] was his competitive spirit and unmatched work ethic.”
This heartbreaking news will continue to take its toll on everyone who knew or followed Bryant. He touched the lives of a lot of people and had a great deal of love for his family and daughters.
