Nic Claxton assigned to Long Island

On Wednesday, the Brooklyn Nets assigned rookie Nic Claxton to their G League affiliate.

Dzanan Musa was assigned to the Brooklyn Nets’ G League affiliate, the Long Island Nets, on Tuesday, and he will be joined by another one of his teammates on Wednesday.

Brooklyn has assigned rookie forward Nic Claxton to Long Island.

Claxton has played in three games at the G League level this season — the first of which he only played a handful of minutes due to injury. During those games, the forward is averaging 11.7 points per game on 58.3% shooting (40% from 3-point territory, on limited attempts). Claxton has also averaged 4.7 rebounds while playing 14 minutes per game for Long Island.

Claxton has played in 14 games for Brooklyn throughout the 2019-20 season. Though, the rookie hasn’t logged any minutes for Brooklyn since January 26.

In his limited opportunities at the NBA level, Claxton has averaged 4.4 points on 56.5% shooting, while playing 13.1 minutes per game. He also averages 3.1 rebounds per game.

Long Island plays next on Friday at 7 p.m. against the Lakeland Magic, Orlando’s G League affiliate. The game will be available to watch on NBAGLeague.com.
