NFL power rankings, Week 5: Here come the Bills, Ravens in the AFC

The Bills and Ravens are proving their windows are still open, while the Bengals are sinking like a stone.

The Buffalo Bills opened their season with a disheartening overtime loss to a New York Jets team that lost Aaron Rodgers just a few plays after kickoff.

Since then, the Bills have looked like juggernauts. Beating the Las Vegas Raiders and Washington Commanders by a combined 62 points was one thing, but beating the Miami Dolphins by 28 was a clear statement to the rest of the AFC: we’re still here.

The window isn’t closed in Buffalo by a long shot.

A similar message was sent by the Baltimore Ravens in Week 4 when they dominated the Cleveland Browns, 28-3. It was Dorian Thompson-Robinson starting at quarterback for Cleveland, but the Ravens made it clear that they’re still a contender.
