NEW: LSU lands 3-star cornerback who recently decommitted from Ole Miss

The Tigers completed the flip of former Ole Miss cornerback commit Bernard Causey on Tuesday afternoon.

As was largely expected, LSU completed the flip of three-star cornerback [autotag]Bernard Causey[/autotag] from Ole Miss.

The New Orleans John F. Kennedy prospect ranks just outside the top 1,000 nationally according to both 247Sports and On3’s industry rankings, but clearly, the Tigers see some things they like.

Causey decommitted from Ole Miss on Monday night, and the Tigers immediately received a flood of predictions for the in-state prospect. He ultimately announced his commitment to LSU less than 24 hours later on Tuesday afternoon.

He committed to Ole Miss back in June, but he received an offer from LSU on Sept. 27 that obviously changed things.

Causey’s commitment helps offset some recent losses in the 2024 class, including four-star cornerback [autotag]Ondre Evans[/autotag], who recently flipped to Georgia. LSU now has 25 commits in a class that currently ranks 11th nationally per On3 and 12th per 247Sports.
