New list outlines best and worst case scenarios for Auburn season

Do you think Auburn can win nine games in 2022?

Just because many pundits and experts haven’t looked favorably on the Auburn Tigers this offseason doesn’t mean they still can’t surprise a lot of people.

A new list by USA Today took the SEC and outlined the best and worst-case scenario for every team in the conference. While it can be hard to predict what will happen to any given squad and the right answer usually lies somewhere in between, it can be interesting to view things through the lens of extremes.

Here is what Montgomery Advertiser writer Brett Durando had to say about the Tigers’ possibilities heading into the 2022 season:

Best case: 9-3. Like most of Auburn’s great teams, this one was overlooked before the season. Georgia and Alabama are automatic road losses, but Tank Bigsby and potent defense bring old-school appeal.
