Nevada High School Player of the Year commits to Lady Vols

Four-star guard Kaniya Boyd announced her commitment to Tennessee.

Four-star guard Kaniya Boyd announced her commitment to Tennessee on Monday.

Boyd is the first commitment for the Lady Vols in the class of 2024. She committed during her visit last weekend.

The 5-foot-9 guard is from Centennial High School in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Boyd is the No. 29 overall prospect in the class of 2024. She was named the 2022-23 MaxPreps Nevada Girls Player of the Year last season.

As a junior in 2022, Boyd averaged 12.2 points, 4.5 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 3.4 steals per game. She helped lead Centennial to the program’s eighth consecutive state title and 30 straight wins to end the season.
